Carl Seligson has been associated with the electric power industry for nearly 50 years. He began his financial career as a utility equity analyst, switched to being an investment banker and subsequently became a consultant.

Subsequently he also was a Managing Director of Kidder, Peabody and of Prudential Securities, with similar responsibilities. His consulting assignments were as a Senior Advisor at Deloitte & Touche and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Mr. Seligson appeared as an expert financial witness testifying before 17 state regulatory bodies and FERC in multiple cases, and also before state and federal legislative bodies on a variety of utility-related financial topics. He has addressed numerous utility-oriented audiences, including 5 appearances before the NARUC Annual Convention and 10 appearances before regional regulatory conferences and has had articles published in Public Utilities Fortnightly, Telephony, Coal Monthly & Energy News, Financial Executive and The Southern Banker, and has appeared as a guest on CNN and PBS.
Mr. Seligson was most recently (2002 - 2009) an advisor to the Edison Electric Institute on financial matters related to their member companies. Previously he was a Senior Vice President of Nyack Management Company, an affiliation of retired senior business executives willing to consult in their areas of expertise, and he acted as a Senior Advisor to K Road Power, Inc., while they were pursuing investments in merchant generating plants.
He was a member of the Advisory Council of EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) and its Strategic Issues Committee for eight years (2 terms) ending in August, 2006. He was also a member of the now expired NARUC (National Association of Regulatory Commissioners) Education Foundation's Advisory Council. He formerly served as a Director of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and as Chairman of the Regulated Industries Committee of the Securities Industry Association.
