John is a Managing Principal, Corporate Psychologist and Executive Coach with QRA (www.quinnreedassociates.com), the Houston-based affiliate of Leadership Worth Following, LLC (www.worthyleadership.com). He holds a BA in political science from Dartmouth College, an MBA in management from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, an MS in psychology from Georgia State University, and a PhD in psychology from the University of Georgia. A licensed psychologist, John completed a 12-month doctoral internship at the Emory University Counseling Center and at Emory’s Goizueta Business School. His executive coaching certifications are from the College of Executive Coaching and the International Coach Federation.
John has 20+ years of experience in senior management, consulting, executive assessment and executive coaching. He previously held positions in the strategy and change management practices of Accenture and in the public sector practice of CGI. Trained in both business management and corporate psychology, he works primarily with senior to mid level executives in organizations in the energy, financial services, real estate, manufacturing, health care, information technology, chemical, utility, food and spirits, retail and not-for-profit sectors in the US, Canada, Latin America and Europe. When time permits, he teaches courses in Organizational Behavior as an adjunct professor in the Executive MBA Program at the University of St. Thomas (Houston).
John serves on the boards of the Society of Psychologists in Management and the Foundation for the Advancement of Psychology in Management. He belongs to the Houston chapter CEO Netweavers, a servant leadership organization. He volunteers on behalf of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, KIPP, St. John’s School, River Oaks Baptist School, Deerfield Academy, Dartmouth College, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. John is a Navy veteran. He and his wife have 4 children and live in the West University section of Houston.
