Andre is a Senior Manager from the Detroit office in the Strategy practice. He has more than fourteen years of experience in the utility and energy industry. His industry expertise ranges from alternative energy to generation operations to oil and gas. Additionally, Andre has broad expertise in M&A and capital markets.
Prior to Accenture, Andre was a Principal with Booz Allen Hamilton in the Energy Chemicals and Utilities practices. He has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Nearly all players in the US energy sector -- from utilities and independent power producers to regulators and government agencies -- agree that demand for electricity is intrinsically tied to economic growth. Evidence of such a link has certainly been seen during the post-2008 recession period; consumption has grown about one percent per year over the past three years.
The urge to merge is in the air and this comes as no surprise. The basic fundamentals for consolidation in the utility industry have been strong for several years as the industry remains highly fragmented, notably in North America, but also in other parts of the world such as Brazil, Australia, and the United Kingdom, to name a few.
