Andre Begosso

Background

Andre is a Senior Manager from the Detroit office in the Strategy practice. He has more than fourteen years of experience in the utility and energy industry. His industry expertise ranges from alternative energy to generation operations to oil and gas. Additionally, Andre has broad expertise in M&A and capital markets.

Prior to Accenture, Andre was a Principal with Booz Allen Hamilton in the Energy Chemicals and Utilities practices. He has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Experience:

• Led consulting engagements for merchant power companies, utilities, renewable energy companies, and regional transmission clients.

• Key projects included: analyzing M&A strategies of merchant power generator, creating regulatory strategy and filing for Smart Grid deployment; evaluating maturity of technologies for investments; developing wholesale power and pricing strategy for regional energy markets; conducting due diligence and valuation for alliance between super-major oil company and convenience store retailer; designing trading strategies for non-regulated arm of U.S. utility; structuring initiatives to grow retail power delivery to commercial and industrial clients.

• Expanded offerings to include technology life-cycle evaluation, renenwable and power asset valuation, carbon war game, carbon footprint assessment, energy efficiency strategies, and best post-merger integration practices.
